Jamie’s interest is in the possibility of individuals' interaction between the mind and the body and the ability to re-pattern postures, which can create change in their beliefs, gestures, and habits; the aim is for a client to experience a shift in their day to day existence and relationship to self, and their world.
Jamie completed her Diploma of Fitness in 2010 after an interest in movement training. Yoga became compelling in philosophy and holistic thinking influencing a Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 with Yoga Synergy in Sydney. Yoga Synergy is a blend of Western scientific influences to an Eastern traditional practice.
Jamie’s interest in mind and body connection began to grow, leading her to currently be a student of AIPC (Australian Institute of Professional Counselling) studying Diploma in Counselling. Jamie has a student membership with ACA (Australian Counselling Association). To compliment her interests, Jamie recently trained with Jane Clapp (Jungian Analysist) in Movement for Trauma, and Creative Body Practitioner this year.
With a blend of knowledge and experience in Yoga, Western Fitness and on-going education in Counselling, her aim is to continue learning how best to provide Movement based therapeutic supports for clients wanting to make positive changes in their lives.
